Mondays are now Fundays

We are never short of inspiration when we look at everything from editorials to street style. Distressed booty shaping shorts get us in the mood for a dirty beach holiday whilst Vera Wang reminds us of old school glamour. Blanket wraps are a 'hell yes' for the coming fall, so here we are sharing some pictures which are not to shabby for a Monday.

The Mavericks of Frills and Ruffles; Gauri & Nainika

My Fair Lady has served as an inspiration to Gauri & Nainika in their past collections. Their love for old Hollywood glamour has been well documented and we have a great show to talk about from the Bridal week.

Indian gowns found a new meaning at Bridal Week this time. From the lull of frills to the Indian versions of gowns, this city has long awaited for something more consuming than the traditional stuff. While these two encapsulate hints of western ball-gown traditions, no other designer compete with their enchanting aesthetic and drive to fabulous glamour.
No huss no fuss was the theme of their show where exaggerated ruffles served as the only embellishment and a sheer veil was used to close the show. Keeping it clean, simple and divine all at the same time glamour was surely reinvented. Sharply cut gowns, cheery shades of red and tailored body-con dresses strutted down the runway. The cropped blouses added a certain level of playfulness to the entire line-up, whilst the cut-outs gave a more serious take to the mood. With their revised ruffles and asymmetrical hemlines the duo has topped the bold and feminine side of couture in India. Sticking to broadly classic silhouettes and modernising their aesthetic consistently they are emerging as the only one of their kind amongst the raging Indian bridal designers

Monsoon staples you must own

So the summer slipped away like sand through our fingers. It’s raining and being coped up indoors at work or being dressed for a hint of sunshine is no beachy style fashion. However we have curated a list of everything sartorial we want to own right now whether it’s pouring or sunny. Here are the reasons why August is our never-fail favourite month for all new things.

1) Mules - these clunky block heels are simple, comfortable and something that is made from day-to-night dressing. Work it with these babies.

2)  Reflective sunnies – Instead of the thick framed, gold rimmed sunglasses we like the mirrored touch of reflective eyewear this monsoon

3)   Bell bottom jeans – Yes! The 70’s show is back. And this time we get to share their jeans. Kick flare your way into wearing these trending high waisted bell-bots.

4)   Fringe Dress – It started from Kate Moss’s collection for Topshop and now we want to adorn a flirty fringe dress to even a normal night out with friends.

5) Small crops with a big message – Whether it’s the batman logo or ‘That S*** cray’, we are digging clothes with a strong message.
